The main uses of the welding positioner: The welding positioner is a general-purpose welding equipment mainly used for circumferential seam welding. It can be used with argon arc welding machine (with or without wire filling), gas metal arc welding machine (C02/MAG/MIG welding machine), plasma welding machine and other welding power sources, and can be combined with other units to form an automatic welding system. This product mainly consists of a rotating machine head, a displacement mechanism and a controller. The rotating machine head speed is adjustable and has an independent speed regulating circuit. The DIP switch directly presets the welding seam length. The tilt angle can be adjusted as needed. The welding gun can be raised and lowered pneumatically.

Technical requirements for welding positioner:

1. Rotary drive

(1) The rotary drive should achieve stepless speed regulation and be reversible.

(2) Within the range of rotation speed, the speed fluctuation does not exceed 5% when bearing large loads.

2. Tilt drive

(1) The tilt drive should be stable and not vibrate under large loads, and the whole machine should not overturn. If the maximum load Q exceeds 25kg, it should have a power drive function.

(2) A limiter device should be installed to control the tilt angle, and there should be angle indication signs.

(3) The tilting mechanism must have a self-locking function, prevent sliding under larger loads, and be safe and reliable.

3. Others

(1) The control part of the positioner should be equipped with a linkage interface for automatic welding.

(2) The positioner should be equipped with a conductive device to prevent welding current from passing through bearings, gears and other transmission parts. The resistance of the conductive device should not exceed 1mΩ, and its capacity should meet the requirements of the welding rated current.

(3) Electrical equipment should comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 4064.

(4) The structure of the workbench should be convenient for loading workpieces or installing fixtures, and its structural form can also be determined in consultation with the user.

(5) The relationship between the larger load, eccentricity and center of gravity distance should be explained in the positioner operating instructions.

The performance of welding positioner:

(1) Welding displacement machinery and welding machine displacement machinery must have a wide speed range, welding operating speed, and good structural rigidity.

(2) It must be applicable to weldments of different sizes and shapes.

(3) In the transmission chain, there should be a reverse stroke self-locking transmission to prevent the weldment from causing accidents due to gravity when the power source is suddenly cut off.

(4) For weldment positioning machinery used in conjunction with welding robots and accurate welding operations, depending on the size of the weldment and the process method, its positioning accuracy (point control) and running trajectory accuracy (contour control) should be controlled between 0.1-2mm, and the accuracy should be up to 0.01mm.

(5) The return speed should be fast, but shock and vibration should be avoided.

(6) Have good electricity, water and air connection facilities, as well as thermal conductivity and ventilation performance.

(7) The entire structure must have good airtightness to avoid damage from welding spatter, and welding slag, coatings, etc. scattered on it should be easily removed.

(8) Welding displacement machinery must have linkage control interfaces and corresponding self-protection functions for centralized control and mutual coordinated actions.

(9) There should be an installation baseline engraved on the work surface to install various positioning workpieces and clamping mechanisms.

(10) The mechanical impact resistance of the weldment displacement used for assembly. It is also equipped with installation slots that can be easily pressed on the work surface. It must have high strength and impact resistance.

(11) Weldment positioning machinery used for electron beam welding, plasma arc welding, laser welding and brazing should meet special requirements in conductivity, magnetic isolation, insulation and other aspects.
