Structural composition

- Rotating spindle box: usually equipped with a chuck, such as a three-jaw self-centering chuck, which is used to clamp shaft workpieces and drive them to rotate around the axis to achieve laser cladding processing of shaft workpieces in the circumferential direction.

- Hydraulic tail top: It can be slid, positioned and locked on the base. Its expansion and contraction are driven by hydraulics. The stroke is generally designed according to actual needs, such as 80mm. The tail top is equipped with a pressure detection and display device and is equipped with a live center to ensure constant ejection force on shaft workpieces during the cladding process.

- Adjustable rollers: used as auxiliary supports for long-axis workpieces to prevent deformation or vibration due to their own weight during rotation. It can slide and lock on the base according to the diameter of the workpiece. Generally, a set of positioners is equipped with 2 sets of rollers.

- Basic welding base: As the support foundation of the entire equipment, it is usually welded with high-strength steel. It has high strength and stability and can bear the weight of shaft workpieces and other components.

- Control system: used to control the rotation speed of the spindle motor, the movement of the hydraulic tail top, etc., to achieve precise operation and control of the positioner to meet the process requirements of laser cladding processing of workpieces with different shafts.

 

Working principle

The shaft laser cladding positioner adjusts the rotation speed of the rotating spindle box through the control system so that the shaft workpiece rotates at an appropriate speed. At the same time, it cooperates with the laser head of the laser cladding equipment so that the laser beam can be uniformly irradiated on the surface of the shaft workpiece to achieve laser cladding processing of the circumference or other parts of the shaft workpiece. During the machining process, the hydraulic tail top and adjustable rollers ensure the stability and coaxiality of the shaft workpiece during rotation.

 

Technical parameters

- Spindle speed: Generally adjustable within the range of 0-100r/min. The spindle speed of positioners with different load-carrying capacities is different. For example, the spindle speed of positioners below 1T can reach 100rpm, and above 1T is generally 30rpm.

- Positioning accuracy: The chuck positioning accuracy is generally ±5arcmin, the tailstock center positioning accuracy is ≤0.15mm/full length, and the coaxiality between the spindle chuck and the tailstock center is ≤0.15 within the entire length.

- Carrying capacity: Depending on the model and design, the carrying capacity ranges from hundreds of kilograms to tens of tons, which can meet the laser cladding processing needs of shaft workpieces of different sizes and weights.

- Automobile manufacturing: used for surface strengthening and repair of automotive engine crankshafts, camshafts and other shaft parts to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of parts and extend their service life.

- Aerospace: It can repair and strengthen key components such as aerospace engine blades and turbine shafts to improve the performance and reliability of components and ensure the safe operation of aerospace equipment.
